In-Hand Showing Lecture-Demonstration

14th April 2011

Our evening at Kings Equestrian, Bromyard proved very popular with about 50 people attending. We had three groups of ponies (native youngstock, native adults and part-breds) to put before Mr Len Bigley who gave a lot of valuable advice on show preparation and presentation. Thank you to those who brought ponies for him to talk about. We hope to run another evening, in the autumn, to enlighten members and friends  on sport pony breeding and grading. Anyone who is willing to provide ponies/ horses for this please get in touch.

Working Hunter Pony Festival

23rd April 2011

In view of the hard ground a last minute decision was taken to run both rings on a surface proved to be the right one, with a large number of entries being made on the day. The Supreme Championship of the show went to the Connemara, Gorgeous George, owned and ridden by Natasha Smith, for the second year running. The skewbald Shetland, Brinleyview Camanchee ridden by Bea Wheatley, stood reserve. The NPS British Isles Working Hunter Pony Championship winner was the Connemara Tyan Tullamore, ridden by Clare Somerset, with Misbourne Gold Star, ridden by Louise Richardson, also a Connemara standing reserve.
